An integrated fabric-first approach to building volumetry and envelope design supports optimisation of natural ventilation over the course of the year (with resultant high air quality), using a combination of: atria acting as breathing ‘lungs’, exhausting solar chimneys, temperature mediating ‘water walls’, and microclimate atuned facades. Renewable energy is provided by harnessing geothermal and solar energy.
