Our concept design for Canada’s first Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) anchors one end of the emerging D-Live development and existing casino resort in the Greater Toronto Area.  The first “urban” version of the worldwide concept, it is intended to be a major attraction where visitors can experience vehicle dynamics, technology, and emotion of Porsche sportscars first-hand with expert guidance from instructors.  This domestic and international destination includes a driving circuit over 2 kms in length, to highlight the prowess of the two and four-door sports cars in their ideal playground.  This would allow customers and fans to immerse themselves in the brand regardless of whether they own a Porsche or not.  Moreover, visitors will also be able to admire current and historic exhibition vehicles, stop by the café, and browse the Porsche shop.

Inspired by Porsche’s graceful and elegant air streaming technologies, the PEC derives its building form on the track side from the “swoosh” created by the cars that make up the venerable brand. Emerging from the natural landscape, it commands attention, yet blends with the context, striving to demonstrate environmental stewardship like the all-electric Porsche Taycan.  The multi-level building strata of the PEC creates exciting opportunities to merge the natural landscape with the customer and atrium connective spaces of the building. The customer connection experience with the Porsche brand is maximized using a combination of interconnected interior spaces and panoramic overlooks from balconies, terraces and roofscapes.
